Children have a lot of space to play and frolic and can see life on a farm up close, whether it is horse riding, milking a cow, or playing and cuddling with the dog and cats. For those interested in sustainable farming, you can get an in-depth view of life with working animals and the production of organic food. The Farm
History of the Kernenhof
Our farm is first mentioned in writing in 1370 as a fief of St George’s Abbey which was located here in St George until the Reformation. In the 17th century, it came to be known as the Kernenhof after the then-owners. The estate was listed in the 1889 list of estates closed as part of the land reform. In 1912, the farm was bought by Ludwig and Prima Bächle, the grandparents of Fridolin Bächle. The ensemble consists of a connected farm containing both residential quarters and livestock stalls, the house containing the holiday apartments, and the large barn. The Kernenhof is at an elevation of 850 m above sea level. Today, the organic farm operation cultivates 41 hectares.

Our apartment Blumenwiese is on the top floor with a fantastic view of the Kirnach valley. With a size of about 50 square meters, it offers space for 2 adults and 2 to 4 children. From this apartment you have direct access to the forest and can experience a very individual vacation with absolute relaxation in the beautiful nature of the Black Forest.

Our apartment Sonnenschein is our sunniest apartment and is located right next to the Blumenwiese apartment with a wonderful view of the Uhlbach valley. With a size of about 50 square meters, it offers space for 2 adults and 2 to 4 children. From this apartment you have direct access to the forest and experience a very individual vacation with absolute relaxation in the beautiful nature of the Black Forest.

Our Regenbogen apartment is located above the farm. With a size of about 100 square meters, it offers ample space for 2 to 4 adults and 2 to 4 children. The newly renovated apartment is furnished with great attention to detail, the living room and entrance areas are made of rustic old wood from the storage barn. The cozy tiled stove invites you to relax and unwind.

Our comfortably furnished apartment Silberdistel is located on the 1st floor of the holiday home and extends over 2 floors and has a balcony. This allows a wonderful view of the farm and the playground. With a size of about 100 square meters, it offers plenty of space for 2 to 4 people and has been awarded 4 stars by the DTV (German Tourism Association). The special highlight is a large roof window through which you can admire the starry sky on clear nights.
